The Commercial Construction Project Manager oversees high-end retail, hospitality, and residential construction projects from pre-construction to close-out, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication. The role requires coordinating with architects, designers, engineers, and vendors to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery while maintaining design integrity. Candidates should have 5+ years of construction project management experience, knowledge of luxury finishes, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in construction management software.
Job Summary:
The Commercial Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring that every project reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship, design integrity, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead multiple high-end retail, hospitality and architectural residences construction
projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure
project alignment and design fidelity.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction meets quality standards and complies
with all safety regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients; manage expectations and deliver
exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee permitting, inspections, and compliance with local building codes.
• Negotiate change orders; track progress and ensure all project documentation is timely
and accurate.
• Identify and proactively resolve project risks and issues to maintain on-time and onbudget delivery.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of project management experience in construction, with a strong portfolio in
luxury retail, hospitality environments and / or architectural single-family homes.
• Proven success managing high-end buildouts with tight timelines and demanding design
specifications.
• Deep understanding of high-finish materials, custom millwork, lighting systems, and
mechanical coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related
field preferred (will consider a certain level of experience in lieu of degree, but degree
preferred)
