Job Details:

• Work 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift schedule
• Float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed
• Weekend requirement includes on-call responsibilities
• On-call requirements: Up to 6 weekdays and 2 weekends per six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: 1 work holiday and 1 call holiday
• Minimum 3 years of experience required with Level I Trauma, Liver and Kidney experience
• Previous charge experience required
• BSN degree required
• PA or compact license required at time of submission
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT
• Charting system: Cerner experience required
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Work with adult patients in all surgical procedures
• Operate specialized surgical equipment for various procedures including cardiovascular, neurology, transplant, and vascular surgeries
• Skills include scrubbing and circulating for complex procedures such as craniotomy, carotid endarterectomy, spinal fusions, and trauma cases
• Daily census of 30 patients with 14 operating rooms available

This major medical center serves as a Level I trauma facility providing comprehensive surgical services including cardiovascular, neurological, transplant, and vascular procedures. The facility maintains 14 operating rooms with a robust surgical program handling complex cases including liver and kidney procedures. The medical center offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
