American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of hospital sonography experience and RDMS certification.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital setting with general ultrasound imaging responsibilities
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
- On-call requirement to assist with daily coverage with other technologists
- Role involves producing dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for diagnosis
- Candidates willing to learn echocardiography or with echo experience are preferred but not required
- Performs a variety of imaging procedures with responsibility for patient safety and sonographic equipment operation
- Delivers patient care appropriate to all age groups served
- Serves as the first line interface with patients in meeting their diagnostic imaging needs
- CPI certification is mandated by the position
- COVID and Flu vaccinations may be required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a sonographer in a US hospital setting
- Current RDMS certification required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program
- Anatomy and physiology knowledge with experience in various imaging equipment
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates within 100 miles)
- Active license required if applicable; no pending licenses considered
- U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
- Two professional references preferred with at least one from the most recent employer
