American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position with BLS and an active AK license required.
Responsibilities- Work in an outpatient physical therapy department at a critical access hospital
- Assignment includes coverage for outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients
- Patient population includes all ages and a variety of diagnoses
- Therapy caseloads include wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
- Day shift with a 5x8 schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend work is required
- No on-call duties are required
- Floating within scope is required, including between outpatient, acute care, and SNF settings
- Epic EMR is used for documentation; experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Returning employees must have a minimum 3-month break before returning and may not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Housing in a one-bedroom apartment and a rental vehicle are provided during the assignment; pets are not allowed
- Housing and vehicle use are restricted to contract dates and certain area limits
- Facility expects all travelers to float between facilities as needed
- Scrub color is flexible; business casual attire also accepted
- Free parking is available on site
- RTO requests should be made during application and may be limited
- All required certifications and documents must be provided before consideration
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Alaska required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification is required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and across multiple care settings is preferred
- Two supervisory references from the last three years within a comparable setting are required
- SSN and date of birth must be provided for consideration
