American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Room Trauma Specialist position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a KS or compact RN license and Trauma certification.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Emergency Room within the Trauma Services department of a Level 1 trauma center
- Night shifts from 19:00 to 08:30
- 13-week assignment
- Trauma specialist role focused on emergency and trauma cases
- Role focuses on trauma response and emergency care for a diverse patient population
- On-site portion of high-risk intervention training is completed during orientation
- Travelers may need to adhere to a local radius rule impacting pay rate eligibility
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per department needs
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
- Only one assignment across the health system at a time is permitted
- RTO (requested time off) should be communicated in advance
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all must be AHA)
- TNCC certification required and must be up to date
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required, renewal per group assignment
- Completion of both online and on-site CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB De-Escalation Course prior to orientation
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current driver’s license required
- Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address
