Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with guaranteed hours of 48 hours per workweek
• Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 depending on acuity level, with ability to adjust up to 1:8-10 based on need
• Float position that may be assigned to inpatient PCU units when needed
• Work on an acuity adaptable boarding unit with patients ranging from medical/surgical to PCU/stepdown/ICU level care
• Team nursing environment working with RN/LPN partnerships requiring delegation skills
• Handle high-paced environment with up to 15 admissions per day due to constant patient turnover
• Care for stable boarding patients from ED awaiting discharge or transfer to inpatient units
• Every other weekend requirement with mandatory work on 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required with PCU experience mandatory
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must be comfortable with blood product administration, central line care, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry monitoring, and ventilated patient care
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• No on-call requirements
• Locals not accepted for this position
