Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Night Med/Surg Cardiac position in Illinois, requiring Level 1 trauma and Epic charting experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is on a Cardiac Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Care for cardiac patients with varied acuity levels
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm to 7:30am, three shifts per week
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length
- EMR used is Epic, and prior experience with this system is required
- No local candidates within a 50 mile radius will be accepted
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering cardiac patient care using the nursing process
- Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care
- May not be on assignment at this facility for more than one year continuously; a six-month break is required before returning
- Up to 7 days of requested time off is allowed per 13-week contract
- No travel partners are permitted for this assignment
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license or temporary license in good standing is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required
- Minimum of one year of recent relevant RN experience in a similar setting
- Level 1 trauma experience is required
- Epic EMR experience must be listed and is required
- Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
