Title: Physical Therapist – Outpatient
Location: Rio Rico, AZ
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements:
Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients per physician referral or direct access.
Establish and supervise physical therapy assistants following the PT plan of care.
Perform and become competent in Work Hardening, Functional Capacity Evaluations, ergonomic evaluations, post-offer testing, and modalities/exercise equipment.
Supervise PT technicians and assist with clinic organization and cleaning tasks.
Schedule patient visits, answer phones, and manage referrals.
Utilize billing codes accurately for various payer types and maintain communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress.
Maintain professional attitude toward patients, physicians, case managers, and other contacts.
Participate in community outreach, marketing, and business development activities as needed.
Maintain all state licensure requirements in good standing.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience.
BLS certification and valid state license.
Experience in acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
Competency in treating orthopedic and neurologic conditions including post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgeries, total hip/knee replacement, spinal conditions, cognitive disorders, Parkinson's, MS, post-stroke rehab, and traumatic brain/spinal cord injuries.
Skills in body mechanics, home exercise programs, and patient/family education.
Charting experience required (any system).
