Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist to join our team at a prestigious medical center located in beautiful Elmira, New York. Nestled in the Finger Lakes Region, this area offers stunning wineries and breathtaking waterfalls, making it an ideal location for both work and leisure.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality care by adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines and collaborating effectively within a team.
- Utilize block scheduling; commuting options are available for physicians who prefer to live outside the area.
- Ensure 24-hour, in-house coverage with support from NNPs, and manage transport calls as well as high-risk deliveries.
- Work in a Level III NICU, offering comprehensive services and high-risk newborn assessments.
- Facilitate admissions and provide care in an environment averaging 1,500 deliveries per year, with nearly 300 NICU admissions.
- Benefit from excellent nursing support and access to a range of pediatric sub-specialty consults.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Active New York State medical license or willingness to obtain one.
- Must provide a recent NPDB Report (within 30 to 60 days active).
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to starting).
- New graduate candidates are welcome, provided they have completed their fellowship prior to starting.
- New York medical license.
- Board Certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- DEA license (to be obtained before commencement).
