A Surgery - Critical Care Physician provides urgent and emergent surgical care primarily in an intensive care unit, trauma service, and emergency general surgery setting. Responsibilities include day and night coverage, managing surgical airways, and supporting acute care surgery, with a focus on trauma and critical patients. The role requires solo coverage with resident support, call duties, and collaboration within a Level 1 trauma center environment.
Duration: January - June 2025
Schedule: 3-7 day blocks throughout the month for gaps on their schedules
Shift: 8a-5p in house, night call,
Call: 5p-8a
Patient volume: TBD
Scope: No clinic, no elective OR, OR is only urgent or emergent. day and night coverage of the intensive care unit, trauma service, and emergency general surgery as well as back-up coverage as scheduled. Solo coverage with back up, resident. Taking cancer center calls, cover acute care surgery at night (except for Fri and Sat night) Responsible for surgical airway at night. Take call for trauma pts, acute care surgery mon-fri,
