Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide emergency medical evaluation, stabilization, and treatment to patients of all ages
- Manage acute medical and traumatic conditions in accordance with hospital protocols
- Collaborate closely with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and consulting specialists for coordinated care
- Accurately document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Supervise and support advanced practice providers during designated coverage hours
- Participate in handoffs and communication with oncoming providers for continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, credentialing requirements, and state regulations
Additional Information
- Must hold a valid physician license in Pennsylvania
- Board certification in Emergency Medical Services required
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required
- Physicians should be proficient in intubations, laceration repairs, and central line placement
- Strong communication, adaptability, and ability to collaborate effectively in a small-team setting
