Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Bellefontaine, OH. This long-term need offers a stable rural setting, strong specialty support, and flexible scheduling in a high-functioning emergency department.
We are actively seeking board-certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with recent emergency department experience to join our locum pool for 12-hour shifts. Enjoy working in a collaborative, well-equipped community hospital with excellent support and robust specialty backup.
Opportunity Details:
- Location: Bellefontaine, OH
- Contract Type: Locum Tenens
- Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
- Duration: Long-Term Assignment (6+ months)
- Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Advanced Practice Provider Support: APP on-site from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Emergency Department Details:
- Annual ED Volume: 20,000 visits
- ED Bed Count: 17
- Average PPH: 1.8
- Admission Rate: 9%
- Transfer Rate: 7%
- Average Codes: 2–3 per week
- EMR: Meditech (Web-Based) with M*Modal Voice Transcription
Support & Specialty Services:
- Hospitalists: 2 Full-Time MDs + 24/7 NP Coverage (Admit nearly all inpatient cases)
- Specialty Support:
- Ob/Gyn
- Cardiology with 24/7 Level 2 Cath Lab
- ENT (3 Providers)
- Orthopedics (including Hand Surgery)
- Urology, Peds, and Internal Medicine
- Telemedicine Access:
- Neurology
- Infectious Disease
- Critical Care
- Pulmonary
- Unavailable Specialties: Renal & GI
Provider Requirements:
- Board Certification: ABEM or ABFM with active EM experience
- Licensure: Active Ohio Medical License
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
