Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position in Texas, requiring a TX or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 30-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit specializing in Surgical, GI, and Oncology patients
- Utilizes Epic for charting
- Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Candidates coordinate and implement direct patient care and discharge planning
- Critical thinking and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment are essential
- Scrub colors are navy or maroon
- Radius rule applies for local candidates, affecting pay rate
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license verified with Nursys prior to start
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification, updated per group requirements
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Two professional references and copy of Driver’s License required
