Locum Tenens Opportunity: Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Near Asheville, NC (ASAP - Ongoing) We are actively seeking a qualified Orthopaedic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens role located near Asheville, NC. This position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis to cover a long-term vacancy. This includes 24-hour on-call duties, with potential for both daytime and nighttime coverage. Patients Per Shift: Typically 6-8 patients Bed Capacity: 29 beds in the department Rounding: Assigned patients Schedule: Immediate Coverage Dates: November 22, 23, 24, and November 28, 29, 30 Coverage Type: Call only, with availability for rotating weekends as needed. Holidays Covered: Includes major holidays such as 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, New Year‘s Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Day, and Labor Day. Requirements: Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Fellowship training is preferred. State License: An active North Carolina medical license is required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Background Check: A clean background is essential for quick credentialing, with no history of malpractice. Temporary Privileges: Available if needed. Hospital/Surgery Center Privileges: Not required for this role. Additional Information: Credentialing Timeframe: Expected to take approximately 45-60 days.
