Job Description

An Internal Medicine Physician is needed to join a community health center in Los Angeles, California. This position is through a Federally Qualified Health Center that has been caring for underserved populations in Los Angeles for over a century. In this position, you will be treating some of Los Angeles's most vulnerable patient populations, including children whose economic situation may preclude them from receiving care elsewhere.

With hundreds of neighborhoods, each with its own unique culture, history, and character, Los Angeles has an abundance of unforgettable opportunities. From the Venice Beach Boardwalk to Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles will surprise and delight you time and time again.

Details:

• Permanent, full-time position

• Day shift

• Local travel from site to site

• Develop reasonable treatment plans, including referrals and prescriptions

• Acquire patient medical histories and execute physical examinations

• Perform additional office procedures and lab tests

• Provide cross-coverage with other providers

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Medicine or Doctorate in Osteopathy

• Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine

• Unrestricted California medical license

• Previous ambulatory clinical experience beyond residency preferred

• Working knowledge of Spanish preferred

• Experience with patient-centered medical home model preferred
