The position requires board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and a valid California medical license, with responsibilities including varied shift work and potential on-call duties.

Position Details:
Patient Population: Critically ill neonates
Setting: Regional Level IV NICU (Hospital)
Responsibilities:
Provide care in a Level IV NICU with 1,400 admissions annually and 55 average daily census
Collaborate with MFM, OB hospitalists, pediatric subspecialists
Participate in neonatal transport, cooling, nitric oxide therapy, palliative care, and telemedicine
Engage in CQI programs and academic collaboration with UC Irvine & CHOC
Required Procedures: Whole-body cooling, iNO therapy, neonatal resuscitation
EMR System: Not specified
Support Staff: Multidisciplinary neonatal team, including pediatric surgical subspecialists
Days Per Month: Full-time
On-Call/Weekends: Likely required
Submission Requirements:
Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine REQUIRED
California Medical License or ability to obtain REQUIRED
Clean malpractice and license history HIGHLY PREFERRED
Neonatologist experience REQUIRED (list years in submission)
