Shift: Nights – 3x12 (19:00–07:00) Contract: 13 weeks Unit: 5 North – Step-Down (20 beds, all private rooms) Ratios: 4:1 (may go to 5:1 as needed) Patient Population: Pulmonary (pneumonia, COPD, BiPAP/CPAP), cardiac (A-fib, CHF), neuro (stroke), GI bleeds, and stable post-surgical patients with higher risk for deterioration. Unit may include a mix of Med-Surg Tele and Step-Down patients. Drips (Step-Down): Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required 1 year experience required
