Shift Requirements: Variable D/N
Shift start and end times: 7a-7p, and 7p-7a
Float Requirements (campuses and/or units): float to ER and ICU to assist if needed.
On Call/Call Back Requirements: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours
Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements: every other weekend/ holiday
Required Licenses and Certifications: Current MI RN license, AHA BLS and ACLS.
Minimum Experience (yrs in specialty): Experienced MS RN 2 + years. Must have ICU and ER experience
Charting Experience: Epic
General Job Duties: general nursing skills. Generally will see geriatric patients with CHF or COPD, Diabetic Unit Information (Bed size, Case types, Patient ratios, etc.): Med Surg, a 25 bed unit Patient Ratio Day 1:4-1:5 NOC 1:6 average
Scrub Colors required: Any colored scrubs
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
Travelers can be put on call for low census hours. The on-call hours that travelers are placed on will count toward the 36 low census unbillable hours. If the traveler is called back to the facility, they will be able to receive call back pay.
During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
