This position is for a Gastroenterology Physician providing locum tenens coverage in Vancouver, WA, offering 24-hour call shifts with a workload involving 8-12 adult patients daily. The role requires performing specialized procedures such as Colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP, with support from onsite Advanced Practice Clinicians during weekdays. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology, licensed in Washington State or hold IMLC, and have extensive procedural experience and certifications including BLSC and ERCP.

- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a 7a), approximately 14 to 21 shifts per month are needed.
- Workload: Manage an average daily patient census of 8 12 adults. Rounding is required daily.
- Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient setting. When not rounding or performing procedures, the provider can be offsite until called back in.
- Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography).
- Support: NOT solo. Onsite APC (Advanced Practice Clinician) support is available during the day on weekdays.
- EMR: The facility uses EPIC.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for emergent and acute GI needs.
- Perform required procedures, including ERCP, EGD, and Colonoscopy.
- Conduct daily rounding and admissions for the inpatient service (average 8 12 patients).
- Respond to callback events (average 6 hours of callback per day).
- Licensure: Active Washington State License or IMLC is REQUIRED. The facility is not willing to license new candidates.
- Experience & Board Status:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology is required.
- REQUIRED to provide documentation of 100 ERCP procedures performed, including a case list of at least 40 ERCP procedures performed in the previous 24 months.
- Must provide documentation (case list) of 100 patients representative of the scope of privileges requested during the previous 24 months.
- Certifications: BLSC (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) and ERCP certification are REQUIRED.
- Target Start Date: March 2, 2026.
- Credentialing: Estimated timeframe for Temp Privileges is 120 days.
