Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg position on the night shift, requiring an active NY RN license, recent EPIC EMR experience, and 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on the Medicine E4 Medical-Surgical unit
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Patient care using the Epic EMR system
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Competency testing for Med-Surg must be passed within two attempts if candidate has less than 2 years of experience
- RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
- More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
- Travel pairs are not permitted
- Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time with this employer
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
- Epic EMR experience required for all candidates
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required
- Flu vaccination required unless medical exemption is provided by a licensed professional
- Applicants must not reside within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
