Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is on a 37-bed cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Typical patient ratios are 1:5 or 1:6, with rare cases of 1:7
- Night shift hours are 19:30 to 07:00
- Floating required to other medical/surgical, telemetry, and orthopedic units
- Provide cardiac monitoring and nursing care to adult telemetry patients
- Must be comfortable floating to various non-specialty units as needed
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in telemetry nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Current NIHSS certification required
- Certification in Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP) may be completed online
