Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry Services - Winston-Salem, NCPosition Details

• Medical Director, 0.9 FTE clinical, 0.1 FTE administrative
• Leadership of inpatient behavioral health services, including 50-bed adult units and CL services
• Day shift, Monday - Friday, plus call rotation
• Adult inpatient unit
• Provide program leadership and oversight of all care provided in Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Services, and psychiatric hospitalist/consultation services
• Represent Psychiatric Services to hospital administration and participate in administrative meetings
• Participate in community-related partnerships
• Act as liaison with Medical Staff to facilitate timely transitions in care
• Facilitate timely consult liaison services for acute care consultations
• Serve as role model and liaison with psychiatric providers, including distribution of workload and call schedule
• Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients
• Oversee creation, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for hospital-based psychiatric services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team (providers, nursing, therapy, support staff)
• Provide clinical oversight for hospital-employed independently licensed mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, etc.), including crisis hotline, mobile crisis, mobile assessment, telehealth, and assessment center services
• Act as primary supervising physician for psychiatric hospital-employed APP staff

Qualifications
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Current medical license
• 5 years of experience post-residency
• Leadership experience preferred
