Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Campus in Raeford, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and professional interactions will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while you respond to situations as needed. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency personnel to support security-related needs and/or emergency response protocols.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
- Remain alert and observant to help to deter potential risks and/or hazards within the healthcare location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
