This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday varied as needed (2 Fridays/month), plus 1 24-hour weekend call day every month and 3 weeknight calls (7:30 PM - 7:00 AM) per month. Includes 1 holiday on call if the contract extends through a federal holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will demonstrate competent knowledge in assessment skills, clinical skills, documentation, professionalism, and patient satisfaction. This role requires the nurse to consistently provide quality patient care across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics, while maintaining compliance with safety protocols and documentation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments of patients, ensuring systematic and accurate evaluations.
• Deliver direct patient care while demonstrating knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
• Exhibit professionalism and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on procedures and anesthesia types.
• Contribute to patient education and assist in pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
• Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience - required.
• Active RN License - required.
• BLS and ACLS certification - required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree - preferred.
