Join a renowned hospital in New York City for a 13-week locum tenens opportunity on the Cardiothoracic Surgery Stepdown Unit. This night shift role focuses on managing patients before and after surgery, offering a chance to work with a high-acuity team in a fast-paced environment.

• 3 weekday night shifts/week (Monday Friday, 6 PM 7:30 AM)

• 1 weekend per month

Hospital-based, working within the cardiothoracic surgery stepdown unit no ICU coverage required

• Manage post-op needs including chest tube and arterial line removal

• Perform ABG sampling

• Remove epicardial pacing wires

• Obtain procedure consents

• Active New York Nurse Practitioner licenseRequired

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience (pre- and post-operative) Required

• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinationsRequired

• Epic EMR experience Preferred
