American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a MO or compact license, with a strong background in LDRP and three years of recent experience.
Responsibilities- Position is based in an acute care hospital's Labor & Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum unit using the LDRP model
- Patients include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum mothers, as well as newborns in a Level I Nursery
- Typical patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3
- Responsibilities include vaginal births, c-sections, antenatal testing, and post op GYN care
- Epic EMR experience required
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 to 19:15
- Weekend rotation includes 4-6 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
- Mandatory on-call: 2 shifts per 6-week period
- Floating required within the LDRP unit as needed
- Full couplet care required, including triage, c-section case management, and postpartum support
- Responsibilities include OB triage, labor management, neonatal care in delivery, and postpartum education
- Charge RN assignments and holiday coverage (one major and 1-2 minor holidays per contract) required
- Navy scrubs are provided
- No block scheduling accommodated
- Maximum of two time-off requests with a 7-day RTO limit
- Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Active MO or compact RN license in hand prior to consideration
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with at least 1 year in the specialty within the past 12 months and no 90+ day gaps in employment
- Experience in community hospital settings preferred
- Certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP; Advanced and Intermediate AWHONN preferred
- Proficiency in procedures such as IV therapy, amnioinfusion, circulating for c-sections, and use of infusion equipment
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Must provide two recent professional references, one from a supervisor
