Key Job Details – L&D RN- Location: Macomb, Illinois 61455
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – OB Unit
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm – 7am)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible, 2 weekends/month, holiday shifts required
- Dress Code: Scrubs provided (black shoes, black pants, purple scrub top)
- Charting System: Cerner EFM
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in labor & delivery, newborn nursery, and postpartum nursing
- Proficient in titrating magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) systems
- Ability to float and provide clinical support to other hospital departments
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate strips using Cerner EFM
- Administer and titrate medications including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
- Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support patients with OB diagnoses: preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, fetal growth restriction, and large for gestational age
- Utilize respiratory support equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) as needed
- Participate in unit-specific onboarding and comply with hospital policies
