Requirements
- Triage and rapidly assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department to prioritize life-saving care
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care, including IV starts, blood draws and EKG monitoring
- Lead and participate in resuscitation efforts and critical interventions when seconds count
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to support seamless handoffs
- Collaborate with physicians, techs and unit staff to coordinate timely treatment and discharge
- Maintain patient safety and monitor vital signs, responding to changes with clinical judgment
- Educate patients and families compassionately about conditions, treatments and next steps
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by being active, personable and team-focused
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required)
- Minimum 1 year of Acute ER experience (per job posting)
- Required certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, BLS
- Proven skills in IV starts, blood draws, EKG interpretation and resuscitation
- Comfortable working night shifts and rotating schedules, including weekends
- Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
