Requirements

  • Triage and rapidly assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department to prioritize life-saving care
  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care, including IV starts, blood draws and EKG monitoring
  • Lead and participate in resuscitation efforts and critical interventions when seconds count
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to support seamless handoffs
  • Collaborate with physicians, techs and unit staff to coordinate timely treatment and discharge
  • Maintain patient safety and monitor vital signs, responding to changes with clinical judgment
  • Educate patients and families compassionately about conditions, treatments and next steps
  • Contribute to a positive unit culture by being active, personable and team-focused

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of Acute ER experience (per job posting)
  • Required certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, BLS
  • Proven skills in IV starts, blood draws, EKG interpretation and resuscitation
  • Comfortable working night shifts and rotating schedules, including weekends
  • Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
