Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery unit night shift role, requiring Level 1 experience and multiple certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule, five days per week with eight-hour shifts
- Care provided to patients with a range of simple to complex health needs
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Provide nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients, including medication administration and monitoring of physiological data
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Coordinate patient care plans and communicate with patients and families
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Documentation of patient responses and medical interventions required
- Must be able to respond to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advance Provider or Instructor certification required
- Level 1 Labor & Delivery experience required
- Some computer skills necessary
