This position involves providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for patients with complex behavioral health disorders in an outpatient setting in California. The psychiatrist will work with vulnerable populations including the homeless, manage medication, perform crisis intervention, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Additional responsibilities include maintaining medical records, supporting continuity of care, and potentially engaging in clinical teaching and program development.
Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at an outpatient facility in Oroville/Chico Area, California. Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness. Interest or experience in clinical teaching, program development, and resident supervision.Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide ongoing medication management and psychotherapy as needed. Perform crisis intervention, including prescribing and administering emergency medications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support services. Evaluate patients for voluntary/involuntary commitment and complete required documentation. Maintain detailed and compliant medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Support continuity of care for patients engaged in day treatment and substance use programs. Any other duties as assigned.
