Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Oncology Unit (19 private beds)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend & Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: Epic Beacon EMR
• Dress Code: No specific scrub color required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or proof of application in process
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Minimum 1 year of recent oncology nursing experience, including IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration
• Proficient in PPE use for chemotherapy and monitoring for medication side effects
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Negative drug screen required

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to oncology patients with cancer diagnoses such as lymphoma, leukemia, hematology, and radiation oncology
• Administer IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Monitor and assess patients for side effects, intervening as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and patient care technicians to provide high-quality clinical support
• Document all patient care activities using Epic Beacon EMR
• Participate in unit float rotation and utilize self-scheduling options
• Educate and support patients and families with compassion throughout the treatment process
