Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Float Pool
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Float between multiple med/surg units as assigned by the Central Staffing Office
- Epic EMR is used and previous experience with Epic is required
- Competency testing is required; Med/Surg nurses with less than 2 years’ experience must pass testing within 2 attempts
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks from the last call out
- RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at time of application
- Local candidates who live within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
- Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of application
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience is required
- Current AHA or RQI certifications are required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Only U.S. Social Security Numbers accepted (no Canadian SIN)
- Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is on file
