• Location: Albany, GA 31701
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit (44 beds)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred)
• Orientation: 1 week general (includes EMR training), 2 days floor-specific

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required (AHA)
• Ability to float to all acute care and cardio units
• Must comply with 75-mile radius rule from driver's license address to hospital

Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 44-bed Med/Surg unit
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 (occasionally 1:6)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurse aides and CNAs
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate patient documentation
• Float to other acute care and cardio units as needed
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Provide patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism
