The Field Quality & Control Tower Engineer manages warranty processes and coordinates cross-functional project activities in automotive vehicle systems including HVAC, Cooling, and Intake & Exhaust. They lead warranty issue resolution, claims triage, and implement containment and permanent corrective actions across Stellantis and supplier plants. This role supports quality assurance, project management, and engineering efforts focused on automotive and powertrain systems development.
The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Warranty Engineer to join the Field Quality & Control Tower team (FQCT) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. FQCT Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence. The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. Opportunities are available in Propulsion System Group in the areas HVAC, Cooling, Intake & Exhaust.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Facilitating cross functional project meetings Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
· Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress
· Lead Triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support Stellantis/Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.
· Establish & validate containment & permanent actions at Stellantis / Supplier
· Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update
