Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine to provide temporary coverage at several prestigious facilities, including CUMC Bergan, Lakeside Hospital, and CHI Health Clinic locations. The position involves managing clinic patients, supporting inpatient obstetrics and L&D, and being available for night and weekend call coverage. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care during a period of staffing transition, with flexible scheduling options that can span several days or up to a week at a time. This opportunity is ideal for qualified physicians looking to contribute their expertise while maintaining a flexible, rewarding practice.

Required Skills:

• Board-certified or eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Valid medical license for Nebraska
• Obstetric and fetal medicine procedures proficiency
• Experience managing prenatal consultations, ultrasound readings, and inpatient hospital support
• Competence with EPIC EMR system
• Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges at CUMC Bergan and Lakeside facilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior locum or flexible clinical experience
• Knowledge of hospital-based obstetric care
• Familiarity with multiple healthcare facilities
• Ultrasound certification or expertise
• Experience with private obstetric patients and deliveries (support for private cases discussed)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in maternal-fetal medicine
• Recent practice with at least 20 deliveries in the past 24 months
• Valid Nebraska medical license and current privileges at CUMC Bergan and Lakeside Hospitals

Other Requirements:

• Availability for scheduled shifts aligned with the specified dates (early February, late February to early April, late March to early May, mid-May to early June)
• Coverage of clinic hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with on-call duties including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to complete credentialing within a 60-90 day timeframe
• Must comply with all state and federal medical practice standards; malpractice insurance must be included in hourly rates
• Willingness to travel as needed, with accommodations preferred at local hotels such as Comfort Suites, Staybridge Suites, or Embassy Suites
• Compensation at competitive hourly rates ($600-$650 for procedures, $900-$1500 for on-call/night call, with additional per-call and holiday rates)
