Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma and robotic surgery skills for a high-acuity environment, requiring a PA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital operating room setting
- Level I trauma center with a diverse surgical caseload including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma
- Must be able to independently scrub and circulate
- Proficiency with the Davinci xi robot required; familiarity with DV5 Davinci robot is a plus
- 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Weekend rotations required (3-4 weekend shifts in a 6 week matrix; could be days, evenings, or nights)
- Call required: 2-3 calls in a 6 week matrix with a 30-minute on-site response time
- Floating to other units may be required as needed
- Holiday coverage may be required for day, evening, or night shifts
- Could be assigned to care for COVID-positive patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
- Manager interview required as part of hiring process
Requirements
- Active PA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
- At least 1 year of Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Must be proficient in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology specialties utilizing the Davinci xi system
- Ability to function independently in all listed surgical specialties
