Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois is seeking a is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our growing surgical team. Position Details

• Employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group
• Full Time Mix of Inpatient and Outpatient responsibilities
• Case mix includes bread and butter general surgery operations, acute care surgery and daytime trauma coverage
• Current services provided include a broad range of elective general surgery, endoscopy, as well as urgent surgery and trauma
• Home call is 1/3 along with the option to take additionally compensated night and weekend shifts
• 24/7 General Surgery resident coverage; academic environment affiliated with the University of Illinois with optional research opportunities
• We staff a suburban level one trauma center
• Opportunities to work with and teach surgery residents and medical students
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• We seek a full-time general surgeon with an interest in becoming a partner in a suburban practice.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS or AOA).
• Current and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current DEA registration.
• Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000-$550,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
