Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN with a valid NY license and Epic EMR proficiency for a night shift travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within the critical care float pool
• Hospital setting with coverage that may include other critical care units as needed
• Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 13-week contract
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling permitted and more than three call outs during the contract may result in termination
• Competency testing is required for ICU units with two attempts to pass
• Responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care to cardiovascular critical care patients and supporting the critical care team as needed
• Travelers cannot be part of a travel pair and may only be submitted to one position at a time
• Time off must be requested when initially applying
• Coverage for holidays and weekends may be required as scheduled
• Applicants residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
• Make-up shifts are required to be completed within six weeks following a call out

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or relevant critical care experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Applicants must have no 90-day or longer gaps in work history within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Medical exemption documentation required for flu vaccination refusal; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
