Position Overview:- Specialty: Gastroenterology (Board Certification Required).
- Coverage: Weekend-only coverage (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM).
- Responsibilities:
- Manage gastrointestinal (GI) emergencies.
- Perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP) procedures as needed.
- Ensure appropriate use of resources by focusing on emergent and urgent cases only. Routine scopes and colonoscopies are not performed during these shifts.
- Daily Patient Volume: Anticipated at 1 patient per day, focused on emergency cases.
Schedule Details:- Shift Type: 24-hour on-call coverage during weekends.
- Duration: Ongoing weekend needs through at least March 2025.
- Start Date: January 2025 (with opportunities for earlier shifts upon approval).
Qualifications:- Must hold Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
- Proficient in handling GI emergencies and performing ERCP procedures independently.
