The Respiratory Therapist at Piedmont Walton Hospital provides specialized respiratory care to patients in high-acuity settings such as ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units. Responsibilities include patient assessments, managing respiratory equipment, performing critical care procedures, and collaborating within interdisciplinary teams. The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, state licensure, and certifications including RRT, BCLS, and ACLS.
At Piedmont Walton, a 77-bed community hospital with a 15-bed Emergency Department and 8-bed ICU, our Respiratory Therapists are essential members of a high-performing, interdisciplinary care team. Serving a diverse patient population—from infants to older adults—our RTs provide expert care across a wide spectrum of acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Our therapists work in fast-paced, high-acuity areas including the ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units, supporting everything from mechanical ventilation, intubation, and ABGs to oxygen therapy, EKGs, and EEGs. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where clinical skill, critical thinking, and teamwork are valued every day.

Responsibilities: Performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures and protocols, critical care procedures in adult care areas, blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of all equipment and patient education. Qualifications: Education- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

- 1 year of experience in performing professional respiratory duties Preferred
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ACLS Upon Hire Required
