Telemetry RN Job Details – Hickory, NC

• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare job)
• Facility Setting: Telemetry Unit (Cardiac specialty)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026, End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 24 beds
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Equipment Used: Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, Cerner (preferred)
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1590 - $1710

Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for North Carolina nursing jobs)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac RN experience
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo cardiac monitoring equipment
• Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing
• Preferred: Experience with Cerner electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to provide clinical care for generalized cardiac patients (young adult to elderly)

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, including those with chest pain, atrial fibrillation (A-fib), congestive heart failure (CHF), and pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to a diverse adult patient population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using the facility’s electronic health record (EHR) system
• Float as needed to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
