This locum tenens position seeks a board-certified or eligible Gastroenterologist to provide internal medicine and gastroenterology care in Galax, VA. Responsibilities include managing clinic hours, on-call shifts, performing procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs, and ERCPs, and overseeing a nurse practitioner in the office. The role requires 2 weeks per month coverage from June to December 2022 with patient volumes of 15-25 per day and support from LPN and office staff using Athena EMR.
