Make a real difference in the lives of America s heroes. We re seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform disability evaluations for Veterans applying for their well-earned benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
This rewarding position lets you use your clinical expertise in a structured, low-stress setting with no treatment, prescribing, or follow-up care required.
Position Overview
- Location: Fort Smith, AR
- Schedule: Monday and Tuesday
- Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Employment Type: Part-time (2 days per week)
- Compensation: starting at $475 per day
- Caseload: 3 5 Veterans per day
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed, one-time disability assessments for Veterans
- Review medical histories and relevant records prior to each exam
- Document findings in a secure, web-based platform
- Submit completed evaluations within 24 hours of the appointment
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted state license in good standing
- Master s degree required
- Prior assessment or disability evaluation experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
