Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TN or compact RN license and 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 14 beds, 2 triage beds, 4 recovery bays, 3 ORs, and 3 labor tubs
- Covers Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Circulating in OR for C-sections, and Triage (after training)
- Patient ratios: 1:2 labor (1:1 for glucostabilizer, mag, pit), 1:3 antepartum, 1:2-3 triage, 1:1 OR circulator, 1:7 postpartum
- Unit averages 300 deliveries per month
- Uses Cerner EMR with Fetelink Charting System; EMR experience preferred
- Shift is 18:30 to 07:00
- Travelers will float to postpartum as needed
- Provide care across labor, delivery, antepartum, triage, circulating for C-sections, and postpartum settings
- Team includes laborists and anesthesia 24/7; family/medicine residents present for triage; no midwives currently
- Floating to postpartum is expected for this role
- Covid vaccination is not required
- Dress code and scrub color not specified in the description
- Local candidates are accepted but may be offered a reduced rate based on location radius
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact state, current and in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP (AHA/AAP)
- Nursys and license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US residential address
