The locum Tenens APP Neurosurgery opportunity in Georgia

Location: Near Atlanta, GA

Duration: March 1, 2024 - July 31, 2024

Reason for coverage: Medical Leave

Schedule: Mon-Fri Rounds 7 AM, OR days Monday and Thursday, Clinic days Tuesdays AM (8a-11a) and Friday all day (730a-330p)

Call: Variable, but 10 days per month including weekend days. All overnight calls are handled by the attending physician.

Patient volume: 5-10 inpatients, 1-2 patient admissions per day, when on call.

Scope: 100% adult, Inpatient/Outpatient. The APP will work with one neurosurgery physician and will 1) assist with inpatient rounding, notes, and orders; 2) assist in the operating room for cranial and spinal procedures; 3) assist with outpatient clinic visits and notes. There will be constant teamwork and supervision but prior general neurosurgery and OR experience is a prerequisite.

EMR: EPIC

Hospital: level 2 , Epic EMR

Group/support: Two other APPs in the practice. CMA and RN clinical support in the practice

Requirements (boards, license): GA licensed, Board Certified, Clean Background

Malpractice - PAID for locum opportunities

Assistance with credentialing provide 30-60 day timeline
