A Neonatology Physician provides expert medical care to critically ill newborns in a Level IV Regional NICU, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver advanced neonatal services. This role involves participation in academic and clinical training, quality improvement initiatives, and utilization of cutting-edge therapies such as whole-body cooling and neonatal transport. The position is based in a nationally recognized academic children's hospital in Long Beach, CA, emphasizing teamwork, innovation, and family-centered care.

What You ll Do:
Deliver expert care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU with an average daily census of 55 and 1,400 annual admissions
Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obstetric Hospitalists, and a full team of pediatric subspecialists, including a renowned cardiac program
Participate in advanced services like whole-body cooling, iNO therapy, palliative care, neonatal transport, telemedicine, and a Small Baby Unit
Contribute to a strong academic culture with ties to UC Irvine and CHOC, and engage in resident/fellow training and continuous quality improvement (CQI)

This is a full-time, permanent positionrelocation to the Long Beach area is required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $240,000 $375,000 per annum

Who We re Looking For:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
California License or ability to obtain
Clean malpractice and license historyHighly Preferred
Proven experience as a Neonatologist
DEA (must be obtained prior to start)
Must live locally or be willing to relocate to Long Beach, CA
