Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Home Health Physical Therapist with BLS certification and home health experience for day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting serving patients in their homes throughout Pinellas County
- Patient populations include cardiopulmonary, geriatric, neuro, ortho, and oncology cases
- Home health skilled visits with a minimum of 6 and up to 8 visits per day, with possible increase at manager's discretion
- Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Self-scheduled visits and hours based on the needs of the office
- Every 3rd weekend coverage required
- Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation system
- Provision of laptop, MiFi for internet, and portable printers
- Main responsibilities include patient assessments, development of home exercise programs, and direct patient and family education
- Duties include safety and injury prevention as well as identifying signs and symptoms of abuse
- Orientation to documentation systems provided
- Any solid color scrubs acceptable
- Self-scheduling gives flexibility to manage caseloads within office needs
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active state PT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of recent home health physical therapy experience
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable car required for home visits
- Experience with assessment, cardiopulmonary/circulatory care, and patient documentation
- Strong skills with equipment and devices such as crutches, gait belts, hospital beds, walkers, and oxygen delivery systems
- OASIS training preferred
- COVID vaccination required or exemption form on file
- Flu shot required or declination form with mandatory mask use
