Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed in McAllen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and maintaining a visible presence.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, and/or policy violations, reporting observations as required.
- Support access control measures by verifying identification and/or credentials as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with store management and staff to address security-related concerns and foster a welcoming environment for customers.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
- Adhere to all company and site-specific protocols while carrying assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with licensing and training requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- At least six months of armed security-related experience, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
