This position is for an OB/GYN Hospitalist in San Antonio, TX, offering locum or permanent roles with 12 or 24-hour shifts. Responsibilities include providing gynecological coverage, first assist during procedures, and occasional backup for family practice with obstetrics. The hospital is a Level IV NICU with affiliation to Baylor College of Medicine and provides high-level maternal care with in-house anesthesia support.

- 12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24
- Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
- Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: No
- Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes
- First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes
- Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: No
- Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: Occasional assistance, FP w/ Ob.
- Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes (OB/GYN ED Call)
- NICU Level: IV (60 beds)
- Maternal Designation: level 2
- Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 108
- Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 10-15
- Estimated Daily Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries): 6-8/shift (includes OBED)
