Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of RRT experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Experience providing respiratory care to adult patients
- Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to adult patients in a hospital setting
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care interventions as directed by physicians
- Monitor patient responses and modify care plans as needed
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document all respiratory care provided in accordance with hospital policies
